The Lord of the Flies
The book shook me to my core. I could not keep up with the devolution of the boys. Every page I turned made me feel fear for the next depraved thought the youngsters would succumb to. The growing frenzy of the boys challenged only by my frenzied page turning, somehow did not translate to the movie. There were way too many changes in the movie that took away from the point of the book and diluted any message Golding wanted to convey.
