S4E09 and S5E10
Dinner Party is a work of art and Michael dipping his chicken in the wine because he his soft teeth, may have sounded like a bizarre sentence to match the tone of the episode, but the brilliance of the callback in S5E10 with Meredith’s intervention puts the writers of this amazing series at the very top. So Meredith gets her hair lit on fire during the Moroccan Christmas and the group decides that she needs an intervention. Michael turns down the option of a date to schedule the intervention because he has a dentist’s appointment for his soft teeth. The fan in me is screaming!
S5E01
Angela and Dwight are carrying on behind Andy’s back and in her PTC she says, “I have a nice comforter, a few cozy pillows, I usually read a chapter of a book, and it’s lights out by 8:30, and that’s how I sleep at night.” So what we glean from this is, she’s deceptive, uptight and she sleeps by 8:30. Seasons later, when Angela’s husband, the Senator, Robert Lipton, tells Oscar to call him, he asks him to call after 9:00pm! Which means, “call me after she goes to bed”. Amazing…
Michael and Holly
In S5E18, the PPC wants to throw Michael a ‘classy’ 15 year-celebration. Of course this is just Jim yanking Dwight’s chain as usual. During this Michael says, “Classy, like the opening of a car dealership” and when Holly comes back to Scranton, S7E11, she looks at the ‘classy’ decorations and says, “It’s like a party for limousine drivers”. Sigh. They are soul mates.
